Emmerdale is lining up a damaging new crisis for Caleb and Ruby as Sadie exploits the mistrust already growing inside their marriage. Caleb becomes convinced Ruby is involved with Ross
Caleb’s jealousy reaches a new level while he and Sadie drink whisky together. Believing Ruby has become involved with Ross, Caleb decides he has had enough of the uncertainty surrounding his marriage.
His conclusion is based on suspicion rather than a clear confession from Ruby, but the emotional pressure proves enough to influence his next move. The storyline places Caleb in a dangerous position because the choice he makes could destroy the relationship he is supposedly trying to understand.
Sadie and Caleb cross a major line
With Caleb convinced that Ruby has already betrayed him, he sleeps with Sadie. The development turns his jealousy into an actual betrayal and gives Sadie even more influence over the situation.
