Kit Green is set to discover Bethany Platt’s pregnancy in dramatic circumstances as Coronation Street brings two major storylines together next week.
New spoilers for the episodes airing from 9 to 11 November reveal that Kit’s ongoing cancer treatment leads to a frightening collapse. His subsequent hospital visit puts him in exactly the wrong place at the wrong time for Bethany, who has been trying to manage the complicated truth surrounding her pregnancy.
Kit collapses as Sarah rushes to help
Kit has been undergoing treatment after his stage three breast cancer diagnosis, and the physical strain becomes impossible to ignore when Sarah spots him collapsing near the tram station.
Concerned for his condition, Sarah insists that he gets checked at the hospital. The medical visit appears routine in terms of the wider storyline, but it creates an unexpected collision with Bethany’s secret.
Bethany, meanwhile, has a scan appointment. Ryan Connor has been supporting her and makes it clear that he will not stand in her way if she decides that she wants the baby’s biological father involved.
That conversation leaves Bethany uneasy. She has been carrying the knowledge that Kit is the father while continuing her relationship with Ryan, making every decision about the pregnancy increasingly difficult.
A hospital encounter exposes the secret
When Sarah fails to arrive for Bethany’s scan, Ryan offers to accompany her instead. At the same hospital, Kit is being checked following his collapse.
As Kit leaves the maternity department area, he spots Bethany and Ryan coming out. The sight is enough for him to realise that Bethany is pregnant.
Sarah then confirms the news, leaving Kit stunned. The discovery immediately raises a much bigger question: how long can Bethany keep the identity of the baby’s father from him?
The timing makes the revelation particularly difficult. Kit is already dealing with the physical and emotional impact of cancer treatment, while Bethany has been trying to decide how much of the truth she is prepared to reveal.
Ryan’s support adds another complication
Ryan’s position in the story makes the situation even more tangled. He knows Bethany is pregnant and is trying to support her, but the possibility of involving the biological father has already become a subject they cannot avoid.
His willingness to let Bethany make that choice shows that he understands the pregnancy cannot remain separated from its paternity forever. Kit discovering the pregnancy at the hospital means that process may now move much faster than Bethany intended.
