Nicole Richie has confirmed some speculation about her 18-year-old daughter.
If you did not see, on her 18th birthday, the fashion designer posted, “18 years of you ♥️🎂 @katemaddennn, tagging an account under the name Kate, which is one of her daughter’s middle names.
Her full name is Harlow Winter Kate, and the tag caused many to wonder if Harlow might actually go by Kate.

Nicole cleared up this speculation, confirmed she does go by Kate.
Nicole told People, “Yeah, she goes by her middle name. She has her whole life.”
About all the comments on her Instagram post, Nicole added, “I didn’t look, but it makes sense … she goes by her middle name.”
