Diana Ross has lived much of her life in the spotlight.
And along with her illustrious career, which will be celebrated in a medley during the 2026 New Year’s Eve celebration in Times Square, her personal life has also attracted attention.
The legendary 81-year-old singer has been romantically linked to several high profile figures over the years, and has been married twice.

As of right now, however, Diana is not romantically linked to anyone. Diana has largely kept her personal life private in recent years, focusing on her family, tours and her legacy as an entertainer, and there are no current reports of a partner.
Earlier in her life, Diana was romantically involved with Berry Gordy, the founder of Motown Records. They started dating in the ’60s while she was rising to fame with The Supremes, and they welcomed daughter Rhonda Ross Kendrick in 1971. Their romance eventually ended, although they remained professional partners for years.
Shortly after, she married music exec Robert Ellis Silberstein in 1971. They had daughters Tracee Ellis Ross and Chudney Ross. The couple divorced in 1977, but remained co-parents.
After that divorce, Diana dated Gene Simmons for years in the late ’70s and early ’80s, causing plenty of tabloid speculation.
She would later marry Norwegian businessman Arne Naess Jr., welcoming sons Ross Naess and Evan Ross and becoming stepmother to his three elder children Katinka, Christoffer, and Leona Naess before divorcing in 2000.
He passed away in 2004 due to a tragic climbing accident.
Diana has occasionally been linked to other big names over the years, including Arthur Ashe, Warren Beaty, Richard Gere and Jon Voight.
Smokey Robinson also claimed he and Diana had an affair while he was married to his first wife, Claudette.
