On Monday (December 29), the company’s X/Twitter account quoted a post about a rumor that Jordan wants to direct a film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, adding only the eyes emoji. The cryptic response quickly led fans to suspect Monkeypaw was hinting at a potential deal in the works.

Speculation intensified as fans theorized that the Get Out filmmaker could be taking over Marvel’s long-troubled Blade reboot. The project has faced multiple delays, and after the last director, Yann Demange, exited last year, a replacement has yet to be announced.
The buzz prompted Monkeypaw to post a follow-up on Tuesday (December 30).

Notably, the post didn’t explicitly deny the rumors, which only fueled further fan speculation.
“I mean,,, you also didn’t DENY taking up the mcu blade project currently in development hell rn,,,, 👀👀 (please do tho it’s in shambles but I think y’all could cook w this one),” one user replied.
Another added, “well I don’t hear you saying you’re not!!!!”
Meanwhile, Blade star Mia Goth confirmed in October that she remains attached to the film and shared an update on its development earlier this month.
