Courtney B. Vance is being honored!
The 65-year-old Emmy-winning actor was presented with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Tuesday (December 16) in Los Angeles.
Stepping out to support Courtney at the ceremony was his wife Angela Bassett and their 19-year-old twins Bronwyn and Slater.
Keep reading to find out more…Niecy Nash-Betts and wife Jessica Betts along with Jurnee Smollett were also in attendance at the event. If you didn’t know, Courtney starred alongside Niecy in Grotesquerie and starred with Jurnee in Lovecraft Country.
Courtney‘s star is located at 7007 Hollywood Blvd., which is directly across the street from Angela’s star at 7000 Hollywood Blvd. She was honored with her star in 2007.
“If you’re in the business long enough, there are certain things that you look toward,” Courtney told Variety ahead of his ceremony. “But [awards] is not something that I work for and toward, because the work is primary for me, my family, doing right and living life the way that I would want my parents and our children to be proud of.”
“It’s a big deal,” he added. “A part of me can’t take it in. To think back to the way I started, not knowing anything, and to be here is big.”
