Jacobi Jupe and Scarlett Johansson are teaming up for a new movie!
On Tuesday (December 16), it was announced that the 12-year-old actor, who currently stars in Hamnet, will be starring opposite the 41-year-old Oscar-nominated actress in the new movie adaption of The Exorcist, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Keep reading to find out more…The movie will be directed and written by Mike Flanagan, who promises a “fresh, bold” spin on the classic. It’s described as “not a remake nor a sequel,” but set in the same “universe.”
While exact plot details and character descriptions are being kept under wraps, it is believed that Jacobi will be playing Scarlett‘s son.
Principal photography for the new Exorcist movie is currently scheduled to begin in March 2026 in New York.
