Anthony Geary has sadly passed away.
The soap opera icon, best known for playing Luke Spencer on General Hospital, died on Sunday (December 14) at the age of 78.
Anthony’s husband Claudio Gama confirmed the sad news on Monday (December 15), that the Emmy-winning actor died as the result of complications from an operation three days earlier in the Netherlands.

Anthony first joined General Hospital in 1978 and prior to his retirement in 2017, he won an record-breaking eight Daytime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series.
Anthony‘s passing comes after another longtime General Hospital actor died over the summer.
