Da’Vine Joy Randolph is still interested in returning to a past project.
The 39-year-old Oscar-winning actress has kept busy over the past several years, with many film and TV projects, but there’s one past role she says is still something she wants to bring back.
Da’Vine starred in the short-lived series High Fidelity, which was canceled after just one season on Hulu in 2020, and she’s hoping to return to it one day.

While speaking with Rolling Stone, Da’Vine revealed that she and co-star/executive producer Zoe Kravitz regularly talk about bringing the series back.
“We all feel the same way. Zoe and I talk about it all the time, like, ‘How can we figure this out? Give it back to the people,’ but really give it back to us, because we just really love it,” she said.
However, she does note that a second season may also come with it’s own challenges.
“It’s a really tricky one, because you’re trying to recapture lightning in a bottle,” Da’Vine shared. “Sometimes you have to just let things be what it is organically and trust in the process to find the next thing.”
High Fidelity debuted in 2020 and is based on the 1995 Nick Hornby novel of the same name and the 2000 film adaptation.
Previously, Zoe has put Hulu on blast over the show’s cancelation.
Since the series ended, Da’Vine has gone on to star in several big movies, even earning an Oscar nomination and win for her part in The Holdovers, and she’s also has a recurring role on the ever popular Only Murders in the Building, which she has earned an Emmy nomination!
Most recently, she co-stars in the new A24 rom-com Eternity, with Elizabeth Olsen, Miles Teller and Callum Turner.
