Whitney Leavitt was asked about politics in her latest interview.
The 32-year-old Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star is currently living in New York City during her Broadway run in Chicago, where she’s being given some “much-needed space” from the “devout, exact obedience” of Mormonism that she experiences in Utah.
Variety asked Whitney about her political opinion and whether “politics should factor into her life as a public figure.”

She responded, “Of course I have opinions. Of course I hate what’s going on right now. It’s really sad and it’s disturbing, and it makes me angry. I do want to use my platform for good. I just don’t know what that looks like. I don’t know if posting on my Instagram story [helps]. I feel like I actually need to do more.”
