Russell Brand is reacting to ex-wife Katy Perry‘s new relationship.
If you forgot, the 50-year-old Forgetting Sarah Marshall actor and the 41-year-old “Teenage Dream” singer married in October 2010 and he filed for divorce in December 2011. Their divorce was finalized in July 2012.
After ending her engagement to Orlando Bloom this past summer, Katy has since started dating former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
While speaking at Turning Point USA’s AmericaFest in Phoenix, Ariz., on Thursday, (December 18), Russell went on a rant about Justin, 53, calling him a “globalist stooge.”
Keep reading to find out more…“Look, Katy Perry, I was married to her,” Russell began, per The Daily Beast. “I love her still, and I’m glad that her mom is in the room to hear me say this, but look.”
“I was OK with Orlando Bloom,” he continued. “But Justin Trudeau? C’mon, man! Don’t put me in a category with that guy!”
Alright, praise Jesus,” he added.
Russell then noted that he has no ill will towards Katy‘s parents, who he said were at the conservative event.
“My ex-wife’s parents are here. They’re Christians and I love them. I love Mary Perry,” Russell said. “God bless you, thank you for bringing the message to me.”
