The post included a snippet of the hosts’ review of the show on the Deux U podcast, with one saying she didn’t go that far into the show, adding: “I didn’t find the acting that strong.”
“People aren’t watching it for the acting,” the co-host responded with a laugh.
Further into the clip, they discussed the actors’ personal lives.
“It’s all anyone has been asking about all week. Information is trickling in very slowly about the stars of the show. Connor Storrie is the hockey player, who plays the Russian hockey player…his information is much more vague and sparse, as far as his personal life.”
“But the actor who plays Shane Hollander, Hudson Williams, if you received the Deuxmoi newsletter, it was revealed – now this is per the fans, this isn’t any information I received – that Hudson Williams does have a girlfriend,” the podcast host went on to say, also claiming that she’s a tattoo artist who gave the lead actors their matching “Sex Sells” tattoo.
Amid strong backlash in the comments for their thoughts on the show and their discussion of the stars’ personal lives, Hudson commented: “You know what, I’ve grown quite unfond of you deuxmoi,” garnering over 17,000 likes and counting.
Several popular comments also called out the outlet, saying: “we ARE watching for the acting. connor and hudson are great. yikes HORRIBLE take.”
