There’s been a viral fan theory regarding the It: Welcome to Derry character Marge, and fuel was just added to the fire based on a TikTok repost from one of the cast members!
Arian S. Cartaya was an absolute fan favorite on the show, playing Rich, one of the kids in the friend group with a big crush on Marge (Matilda Lawler).

In that movie, one of the kids is named Richie, and he’s played by Finn Wolfhard. The adult version of Richie is played by Bill Hader.
Many have wondered if Marge is Richie’s mom in the It universe, because they both wear similar looking glasses.
With Rich’s tragic death in season 1, episode 7, which is bookmarked with Marge and Rich professing their love for one another, this has fueled the theory that perhaps Marge is Richie’s mom, naming her future son after her first true love.
Fans then noticed that Arian reposted a TikTok that featured a woman crying over the caption “SHE.NAMED.RICHIE.AFTER.HIM.”
Fans have been flooding the comments with similar thoughts, including, “The fact that Arian reposted this video further proves that richie’s mom is Marge,” “Meanwhile Mr.Tozier wondering why Marge wants the name Richie for their baby,” and “ITS TRUE MARGE IS RICHIES MOM!!!! ARIAN REPOSTED.”
